Rock Quarry & Facility Manager
Position Summary
We are now hiring technical staff to start our new Rock quarry operation located in Bogor, West Java. The Rock Quarry & Facility Manager is responsible for managing staff and to oversee the set-up, running, and operations of the quarry.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications
- Ensure the activities of the maintenance teams are coordinated and follow procedures
- Oversee contractors working in the facilities
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of facilities
- Document work performed in work order system
- Maximize uptime of equipment and cost effectiveness of the same
- Plan, organize and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security, landscaping
- Identify and implement facility standards, policies, and procedures
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems, organizing and directing predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance, as well as periodical shutdown and upgrades
- Plan and manage the facility's operations and maintenance budget
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility
- Recruit personnel and oversee their training
- Manage maintenance personnel
- Advise on energy efficiency and effective use of space
- Advise on health and safety of facility building's environment
- Identify implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints
- Monitor and commissioning plant and systems
- Work with the technical team (as required) to estimate and prepare bid proposal requirements
- Plan, coordinate and supervise all maintenance activities for all mechanical equipment
- Supporting the preventive, corrective, troubleshooting, shutdown and major and minor maintenance activities, on various types of mechanical equipment situated in designated site areas
- Monitor root cause analysis of equipment failures and non-scheduled shutdowns and recommend problem resolutions
- Participate in risk assessment exercises and prepare recommendations and guidelines to address the findings
Knowledge, Education and Experience:
- Minimum Degree (S1) in Engineering or facility operation and maintenance
- Minimum 10 years progressive work experience, preferably in the Mining Field with experience in mechanical designs, utilization, repair and maintenance
- Experienced in supervisory, budgeting, project management, planning, progress monitoring, forecasting and reporting for a quarry facility
- Experience managing or leading safety/environmental programs
- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics and their applications
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office and mechanical design calculations
